MENTION Tanjung Sepat and beaches, glorious sunsets, wooden houses and, of course, fresh seafood come to mind!
Therefore, it is not surprising there has been a steady rise of city folks traveling there to feast and frolic over the past decade. Tanjung Sepat is primarily a fishing village. Most of the inhabitants have some kind of connection to the fishing industry, although the relative importance of fishing to the economy is dwindling due to pollution in the Straits of Malacca. Many believed this is caused by the fact that the areas surrounding the town are known as the largest pig rearing area in the state. The non-controllable waste flowing to the sea produced not only stench but hardship for the fishing industry participants.
Tanjung Sepat is well known locally for its many seafood restaurants. The most famous dish is the seafood steamboat.
Indeed, fish and crustaceans are found in all dishes served at home and in restaurants – seafood porridge, seafood bak kut teh, seafood nasi lemak, seafood Maggi Mee and, most recently, seafood steamboat are available. Nobody goes hungry in Tanjung Sepat as the writer had discovered.
Visitors do not return home with merely stuffed bellies, but would take with them Tanjung Sepat delicacies such as fish balls, fried bean curd, locally grown and roasted coffee beans or powder, Chinese buns (pau), tapioca chips, longan fruit, bottled Lingzhi drinks and fresh mushrooms.
Spend 1 of the weekend overnight trip to visit my neighbor home town - Tanjung Sepat a small fish village located at southwest part of Selangor. Nowadays, people came here for fresh seafood and various Dragon Fruits ,Longan, mushroom , coffee, keropok ubi and Ganoderma (Chinese Ling Zhi) I was accidentally meet 1 of the friend there and jz notice the famous stall is belong to his family :P
This is my another prefer place for break and visit Damian , Jack, Andy together with David having short break there. Maybe I should stay longer there for next trip and visit David cousin brother there, not the bad ideas right :P Australia is the only country that has a whole continent itself. World famous for its natural wonders and wide open spaces, its beaches, deserts, 'the bush', and 'the Outback', Australia is actually one of the world's most highly urbanized countries. It is also well known for the cosmopolitan attractions of its large cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
The Harbour City of Sydney is Australia's largest city. The coast of New South Wales is lined with beach side communities, each one offering experiences for the traveler. A little inland are the mountain ranges of the blue mountains, and the purpose built capital city of Canberra, excised from New South Wales. Further inland still expect sweeping plains, turning from agriculture to desert the further inland you venture.
Melbourne is a small, vibrant and with something for everyone and Victoria has dramatic surf beaches along the southwest and central coast, green rolling farmland and photogenic national parks. The diversity of rural Victoria is very easy to access due in part to its size and well maintained roads. Australia and Victoria's shopping, fashion and food capital is Melbourne.
Perth is closely surrounded by the wildflower, wine growing and scenic destinations of the Margaret River and Albany. North to the tropics and the beach designation of Broome. Small townships, roadhouses, mining communities and national parks scattered around the long distances between.
Tasmania is separated from the mainland by Bass Strait, Tasmania has rugged beauty of Cradle Mountain and the west, the beaches of the east, and the complete wilderness of the south. Hobart was the site of the second European settlement in Australia, and many historic sites are well preserved. The island has well developed facilities for travelers.
If need any future information traveler can contact Australia Flight Centre which near by the destination for assistant, I was very lucky coz my close friend is working there and he assist me for the whole journey :) P/S : Thanks Damian, Jack & Andy :) Wish Damian enjoy his Flight Center life at Melbourne and Jack please cut down your busy life flying here & there at Sydney. Andy pls don't have too many girl frineds at Perth, I will be very confuse bro hahaha
Hong Kong is place I can say familiar but also not too familiar with..... I have family members , friends and office there but that is a crowed and busy city.
Hong Kong have another name call " 东方之朱" it works as a useful gateway into Southeast Asia and into China. It is also an interesting place in its own right an extraordinary, complex territory of seven million people that's a repository of traditional Chinese culture, a recently relinquished British outpost, and one of the key economies of the Pacific Rim.
The view of sky-scarpered Hong Kong Island, across the harbour from Kowloon, is one of the most stunning urban panoramas on earth, but Hong Kong also holds some surprises for the traveler – alongside the myriad shopping possibilities (not all of them such a bargain as they used to be), are a surprising number of inviting beaches, rewarding hiking trails and some surviving bastions of Chinese village life, most of them in the New Territories. An excellent infrastructure, an efficient underground system and all the other facilities of an international city make this an extremely soft entry into the Chinese world.
Hong Kong has never been boring, prepare to experience one of the most dramatic urban environments ever conceived.
I was recall 1 of my experience when I was 16 year old, I was travel to Singapore with my young cousin sister who just 14 year old that time. 2 of us travel there by train haha and we only using map shopping that time.

Here have some picture and information would like to share about the beauty of Singapore.
Republic of Singapore, is an island city state located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, lying 137 kilometers (85 mi) north of the equator, south of the Malaysia state of Johor and north of Indonesia Riau Islands. At 710.2 km2 (274.2 sq mi), Singapore, a micro state and the smallest nation in Southeast Asia, is by orders of magnitude larger than Monaco and Vatican City, the only other surviving sovereign city-states.
Since independence, Singapore's standard of living has risen dramatically. Foreign direct investment and a state-led drive to industrialization based on plans drawn up by the Dutch economist Albert Winsemius have created a modern economy focused on industry, education and urban planning. Singapore is the 5th wealthiest country in the world in terms of GDP (PPP) per capital.
In December 2008, the foreign exchange reserves of this small island nation stood at around USD174.2 Billion. The Singapore government had for the first time in history tapped into her official reserves and withdrew some S$4.9 billion with the approval of the President. The funds were then used as part of the Singapore Dollar $ 20.5 billion resilience package unveiled by Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam on 5 February 2009. As of January 2009, Singapore's official reserves stands at USD$170.3 billion.
The Orchard Road is an shopping haeven and district is one of Singapore's most well-known and popular tourist draws. To attract more tourists, the government decided to legalise gambling and to allow two casino resorts (euphemistically called Integrated Resort) to be developed at Marina South and Sentosa in 2005. To compete with regional rivals like Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Shanghai, the government has announced that the city area would be transformed into a more exciting place by lighting up the civic and commercial buildings. Cuisine has also been heavily promoted as an attraction for tourists, with the Singapore Food Festival in July organised annually to celebrate Singapore's cuisine.
Singapore is fast positioning itself as a medical tourism hub about 200,000 foreigners seek medical care in the country each year and Singapore medical services aim to serve one million foreign patients annually by 2012 and generate USD 3 billion in revenue. The government expects that the initiative could create an estimated 13,000 new jobs within the health industries.
Singapore now is a true melting pot of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Arabic communities. Tourists will see women with Chinese features wear sarongs and Arabic dress, and this cultural aspects contribute to making Singapore one of the unique destinations to visit.
Under the Infocomm Development Authority Of Singapore (IDA), Wireless@SG is a government initiative to build Singapore's infocomm infrastructure. Working through IDA's Call forCollaboration, SingTel, iCell and QMax deploy a municipal wireless network throughout Singapore. Since late 2006, users have enjoyed free wireless access through Wi-Fi under the "basic-tier" package offered by all three operators for 3 years.
There are approximately 30,000 registered hotel rooms available in Singapore, and average occupancy is around 85%.
In 2009, the Economist Intelligence Unit ranked Singapore the tenth most expensive city in the world in which to live he third in Asia, after Tokyo and Osaka. Coming soon the next casino will be opening on end of the year 2009 by Genting Group and Sands Vegas, that will be a next hot topic for Asia country.
I been Pulau Redang 8 years before and last 2 years I back to this place again for scuba diving, there was a lot of changes when I diving the water is not that clear compare with those day. Well after long stress from work, slumer myself with diving, sunshine and lazy at beach side is the best way to refrash my mind.
Pulau Redang is one of nine islands that form a protected marine park, and it offers excellent diving and snorkeling. Of most interest is the beautiful bays on the eastern side of the island, including Teluk Dalam, Teluk Kalong and Pasir Panjang.
Redang Island is famous for its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and the tropical fish that inhabit the numerous reefs, many within 50 feet of the shore.
There is so much to do on and around Pulau Redang, one can return year after year and still find new places to explore. The reef is teeming with fish, turtles, live corals and other spineless creatures. There’s snorkeling, diving, windsurfing and kayaking available at most resorts.
Hopefully the organization able to protect, conserve and manage in perpetuity marine environment of significance and to encourage public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of Malaysia's natural heritage by present anf future generations.
This was my first time to this restaurant which I’ve been searching few weeks ready, finally this Balinese touch restaurant which makes me feel warm and relax beside the weather :P An relax and dine at this charming Balinese-themed restaurant nestled in sleepy Kg Sg Penchala.
Driving along the busy Penchala Link, one would never imagine that a charming Balinese-themed restaurant , is nestled in quiet Kampung Sg Penchala, just a stone’s throw away from Taman Tun Dr Ismail. The unusual location proves to be a success as customers love the peaceful natural surroundings and ample parking of this cosy outlet.
As you step through the wooden doors of Bora Asmara, you will be greeted by the sound of the gong, the Balinese way of saying welcome. Your ears will be treated to soothing sounds of the traditional Sundanese Gamelan sounds that can be heard in the background. The setting is just lovely with beautiful water features, rustic wooden tables and chairs, lit stone lamps, and Balinese decor tastefully placed around the outlet. Customers may choose to dine by the ponds at the elevated main lobby, al fresco on the open terrace, inside the formal air-conditioned Bale Gede dining room or coffee lounge. private huts with Balinese-thatched roofing that fits six to eight people. You’ll have to make a reservation as these lepak place are very popular with the customers.
Bora Asmara has a wide selection of food ranging from Indonesian and local food to pastas. Try the Thai Seafood Otak-Otak which is creatively served in a swan made out of foil. There’s a generous serving of seafood cooked in aromatic spices. Another must-try is the Bali Dancing Fish. The flesh on both sides of the kerapu is sliced off the bone and deep-fried, making the fish appear as though it is swimming with wings. It goes well with the chilli padi soy sauce dip provided. Top marks too for the presentation skills.
For those who fancy Thailand’s celebrated dish, Bora Asmara offers tom yam with coconut milk. Expect to find huge prawns in the Seafood Tom Yam. The Mango Kerabu was equally tasty, served with crisp pieces of fresh fish.
There is also a fair variety of western and pasta dishes like the usual Fish N’ Chips, steaks and lamb. Grilled Caribbean Chicken is their signature western dish. I found the Fettucine Carbonara cooked light with just the right amount of cream.
Next round I should try pick ala- carte foods when Kiev back to reward him :P haha thanks Kiev.
p/s : Jenna : dear the link u giving me for the direction more complicated then way we found keke anyway thks for introduce me such of nice place :) Hayden : bro tq for the nice place for lapak & dinner :) Kiev : Thank for your effort to searching this relaxing place.
I was plan one of the weekend overnight trip to visit my neighbor home town - Tanjung Sepat a small fish village located at southwest part of Selangor. Nowadays, people came here for fresh seafood and various orchards farms, including Dragon Fruits Longan, mushroom , coffee, keropok ubi and Ganoderma (Chinese Ling Zhi) farm.

You’ve got to visit this place for yourself. I’ll spent some time at this place coz still did not manage to go through all the exciting places. Places like dragon fruit farm, longan farm, lover’s bridge and seafood restaurants are missing for this trip. Will cover them next time. If you are interested to visit, here is how you can get to Tanjung Sepat. Take the Kesas highway heading to Klang. Exit at the Klang/Banting exit. As you go up the ramp of the exit, turn left at the traffic light to head to Banting and drive heading to Morib Beach. You will pass through Banting, Jenjarom, Morib and then Tanjung Sepat. Once you get there, you will have a great weekend at this village!!!
Penang is the place which i travel very offend with full of meaningful memories..... Special thanks for all my penang friends there( Pak family's member, Dt. Eddie Chong, David, Eddie Tan, Gary, Maggi, Andrew, Eric, Jimmy, Allen, Joyce, Micheal.....
Malaysia's 'Pearl of the Orient' carries a natural beauty and cultural splendor like no other place. Its name comes from the Malay translation of betel nut - 'Pinang'. The island was a free port until 1969. Despite the loss of the island's free-port status, from the 1970s to the late 1990s the state built up one of the largest electronics manufacturing bases in Asia, in the Free Trade Zone around the airport in the south of the island. On 7 July 2008, George Town, the historic capital of Penang, was formally inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site alongside with Malacca. It is officially recognized as having a unique architectural and cultural town scape without parallel anywhere in East and Southeast Asia
Penang island is a paradise for food lovers who come from all over Malaysia and evenSingapore to sample the island's unique cuisine, earning Penang the nickname of the food capital of Malaysia. Penang was recognized as having the Best Street Food in Asia byTIME magazine in 2004, citing that nowhere else can such great tasting food be so cheap. Penang's cuisine reflects the chinese, nyonya, malay and indian ethnic mix of Malaysia, but is also strongly influenced by the cuisine of Thailand to the north. It's especially famous "Hawker Food", sold and eaten roadside, strongly features noodles and fresh seafood. Places to savour Penang's food are Gurney Drive, Pulau Tikus, New Lane, Swatow Lane, Penang Road and Chulia Steet. Local chinese restaurants serve excellent fare too. American fast food outlets and cafes are readily found throughout the state.

The first settlement in Kajang was established in 1709. In 1807, Kajang was founded after the Klang War. Because of its central location, it was made the district capital of Hulu Langat.
Kajang as a modern town owes its rise in particular to the coffee estates which were opened up around it in the 1890s. One of the famous coffee estates was Inch Kenneth Estate managed by the Kindersley brothers who were among the first to plant rubber in the country on a commercial basis. Another was Perang Besar (Great War) Estate, opened by some British ex-servicemen led by Colonel Henry Gough, who was the pioneer of bud-grafting of rubber trees in the country.
Kajang is a small town where by we can smell the special satay aroma that has made from the famous place.National Cinema at the rear.On the left is Chiam Kee Chicken Rice Shop which has moved to Medan Selera (beside Kajang Market). If you are turning from the back of Bank Islam as you approach the Kajang Market there is a bridge on the right and the right has an eatery shop is now the present Chiam Kee Chicken Rice Shop. The old bazaar is on the left, Metro Plaza building is occupying this location currently. Those days its made of iron structure but now replace with concrete. Its location just behind Aked Mara building and TNB Kajang Jalan Reko.Notice the bended railway line cause by the floods, this railway line between Sungai Chua and the Railway bridge. Kajang's have another famous food is clay pot "Lat Tong" (hot spicy soup of chicken or pieces of pork meat) originated from Semenyih and spread to Kajang and after that it became popular. Foremost spicy soup restaurant at Sungai Chua, Restoran Siaw Kah (萧家) and Restoran Wai Kee (伟记) as well. Yu Hua is my primery & secondary school. Yu Hua Secondary School completed in 1968. Before 1917,there was a very small Chinese school named Boon Hua which was attached to the Merchant Club of Main Street, Kajang. As the number of pupils increased, it then shifted to two shophouses in Nos.2 & 4, Sulaiman Street and officially became an independent school - the former body of Yu Hua School.
When Boon Hua was offivially founded, its first chairman, Mr.Low Ti Kok and the headmaster, Mr.Tan Yi Hoh, applied for a piece of land as site for the permanent school building. With invaluable help of the commitee members, the new school building was completed in 1918 along Jalan Low Ti Kok; and, was then renamed Yu Hua School. The new building was occupied in 1919.
Construction of New Block will commence in December 2005 right after the SPM exams. The demolition of the old Block that stood the test of time will mark the end of an era. We will post pictures of the old Living Skills (KH) & Domestic Science block for your viewing. 7 years ago from 2008, SMJK Yu Hua been developed dramatically and many things has changed. There are total of 5 science laboratories, a well-managed library, a reference room, computer room, 4 lecture halls, 4 garages, an Art room, a huge hall which consist of 6 badminton courts, basketball court, volleyball court and a few lovely gardens with various types of flowers .
I been staying at Kajang about 18 years, after secondary I been move to Petaling Jaya for my next journey of my life.
